Yard Waste | The 2026 Yard Waste Season will begin April 6th and run through December 4th. Hydrant Flushing Notice | On Monday, April 6, 2026, the Bristol Water and Sewer Department will begin our 2026 hydrant flushing season. We will be flushing on the East Side and the West Side simultaneously. We will continue flushing these areas until the next area is posted. The following areas may be affected: West Side, Redstone Hill Road, Vincent P. Kelley Road, Middle Street, Commerce Drive, Benham Street, Emmett Street near Thornberry Ridge, Broderick Road, and some of the surrounding areas. East Side, Clark Street, Matthews Street, Minor Street, Wintergreen Road, Peppermint Lane, Hill Street, Clover Road, James P. Casey Road – south of New Departure Parking Lot, and some of the surrounding areas. We will flush hydrants on these streets and the adjacent areas starting at 7:00 a.m. and ending at 2:30 p.m., to allow customers to run their cold water until it runs clear. Low pressure and discolored water is to be expected during flushing and for short periods afterwards. We recommend you refrain from washing clothes during this period. You should run an outside faucet or the cold water in your bathtub until the water runs clear.
