The new Express Area, is designed to support the growing use of digital technology in the community and will include cafe style seating, free WI-FI, tables with charging hubs and USB ports for mobile devices and will be a location inside the library where covered beverages will be permitted. The required furniture and re-furbishing of the first-floor lobby are made possible by Mike's generous support.

Although the Express Area will not be completed by October 11, the dedication ceremony will include the presentation of a plaque, the signing of Simpsons posters that will be part of the Express Area decor, a display board showing what the new furniture materials will look like, and refreshments courtesy of the Friends of the Bristol Public Library. The public is welcome to attend the dedication at the library on 5 High Street in Bristol.
